Pantheon Theatre

A Lifetime of Cinema, Three Generations Strong
Pantheon is not just a cinema — it is a heartbeat, a memory, and a promise that has endured for more than eight decades. Our family’s story with cinema began in 1943, in Famagusta, when the first screen lit up under the stars. Since then, through occupation, division, displacement, financial hardship, and social change, we have held onto one constant: our love for cinema and its power to bring people together.
In the 1960s, Pantheon became part of our family — a cherished part of Nicosia’s cultural fabric. At one time a bustling three-screen cinema, it now stands as a single-screen space: intimate, personal, and focused on the experience of film as an art form.
Today, as the third generation of our family, we continue this legacy with heart and vision. Pantheon remains an independent art cinema dedicated to showcasing films that matter — local, international, classic, contemporary — and hosting events that connect, inspire, and celebrate community.
Whether it’s a film premiere, a music night, a poetry reading, a director Q&A, or a quiet weekday screening, Pantheon is a space shaped by those who walk through its doors. A space where cinema is not just seen, but felt.
