The Frog and the Water

The Frog and the Water

Thomas Stuber(2025,113’)

There is little room for adventure in Stefan Busch’s everyday life in an assisted living community. But during a group outing, his life takes an unexpected turn: without hesitation, the young man everyone calls Buschi joins a Japanese tour group.

On this unusual road trip, he meets Hideo Kitamura. A gentle friendship begins to grow between them, bridging linguistic and cultural boundaries. The Frog and the Water tells, with humour and warmth, a story of an unexpected encounter, stepping beyond familiar routines, and a friendship that develops where it is least expected.
